Box Score Crestview Hills, Ky. - The women's soccer program at Thomas More scored a season high six goals in a shutout win over Freed Hardeman today, September 22. With the win the Saints move to 5-2 on the season and 1-0 in Mid-South Conference play.
- First-year forward Amy Bos (Beuningen, Netherlands / Mondial College Nijmegen) kicked off the scoring for Thomas More with a goal via a pass from Lindsey Brown (Melbourne, Ky. / Campbell County) with 37:26 remaining in the first half, to give the Saints a 1-0 lead.
- Sophomore Lindsey Ballinger (Cincinnati, Ohio / Roger Bacon) scored with 11:00 minutes remaining in the first half to grow Thomas More's lead to 2-0.
- Sophomore Sydney Rhodes (South Lebanon, Ohio / Kings) got things started in the second half after Nely Martinez-Hernandez (Madrid, Spain / Jaime Ferran) found her on a corner kick, giving the Saints a 3-0 lead.
- Senior captain Jordan Harley (Cincinnati, Ohio / Mother of Mercy) found the upper 90 from 20 yards out at the 55:30 minute mark of the game, extending Thomas More's lead to 4-0.
- Rhoads would find the senior Brown thirty seconds after the previous goal, making the lead 5-0 in favor of the Saints.
- Junior Kylee Luce (Jeffersonville, Ind. / Jeffersonville) found the back of the net off of a feed from Martinez-Hernandez at the 66:20 mark to close out the scoring for the game, making the final 6-0 Thomas More.
- Martinez-Hernandez finished the game with two assists.
- Thomas More outshot Freed Hardeman 22-4 in the game.
- Brown, Ballinger, and Luce all scored their first goals of the season.
The women's soccer team will return to the field on Saturday, September 25, when they host Mid-South Conference foe Bethel (Tenn.) at 3:30 p.m. ET on Republic Bank Field.
