Box Score Crestview Hills, Ky. - The women's volleyball program at Thomas More University took down local rival Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday, September 1, by a score of 3-0. With the win the Saints improve to 7-0 on the year.
Thomas More won by scores of, 25-10, 25-16, and 25-21.
- Senior Lizzie Schoenfeld (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) led the team with 18 assists in three sets.
- Senior Emily Mohs (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) hammered down 12 kills along with three service aces in the match.
- First-year Asia Ferrando (Masone, Italy/Barletti Ovada) tallied nine digs to lead the Saints.
- Junior Sawyer Lorentz (Dover, Ohio/Dover) etched nine kills on 13 attempts for Thomas More.
- First-year Sam McClanahan (Georgetown, Ky./Scott County) had 12 assists along with five kills.
The women's volleyball team will be back in action on Friday, September 3 when they travel to Adrian Michigan to compete in the Siena Heights Tournament. First game for the Saints on Friday is set for a 3 p.m. opening serve against Bluefield (Va.).
