Box Score (HENDERSON, Tenn.)- Thomas More's women's volleyball team beat Freed-Hardeman 3-2 in a five game thriller on Saturday afternoon (April 3). The Saints overall record improves to 8-12 and 7-9 in the conference.
The Saints won in five games with the scores of 25-18, 25-23, 18-25, 19-25, and 15-7.
- Sophomore right side Alyssa Albrinck (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mercy McAuley) led the team with 21 kills and four total blocks.
- Junior right side/middle back Ashley Rees (Fort Wright, Ky./ Notre Dame Academy) followed with 15 kills and led the team with eight total balls.
- Sophomore setter Rachel Berwanger (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mercy McAuley) led the Saints recording 25 assists and had four total block, eight kills, and six digs.
- Junior setter Lizzie Schoenfeld (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) followed with 18 assists and had eight digs.
- Junior defensive specialist Megan Finley (North Bend, Ohio/Taylor) led the team with 19 digs and first-year defensive specialist Kaitlyn Stivers (Louisville, Ky./Eastern) followed with 15.
The Saints return to the court next weekend as they compete in the Mid-South Conference Tournament April 8-10 in Bowling Green, Ky.
