Box Score (Georgetown, Ky.) - The women's soccer program at Thomas More defeated Georgetown by a 1-0 margin in the opening round of the MSC Tournament. The Saints avenged their 3-0 loss from earlier in the season to move to 4-9 on the year.
- Sophomore midfielder Ryann Meddings (Fairfield, Ohio/Fairfield) netted the only goal of the game as she put the ball in the back of the net in the 51st minute.
- Meddings scored her third goal on the season and for the third straight game.
- Junior Lindsey Brown (Melbourne, Ky./Campbell County) the midfielder recorded three shots with two being on goal.
- First-year goalkeepr Taylor Stahl (Cincinnati, Ohio/Roger Bacon) registered five saves and recorded the shutout to earn the win.
- Sophmore forwards Sydney Rhodes (South Lebanon, Ohio/Kings) and Hannah Allen (Lexington, Ky./Simon Kenton) both recorded two shots with one being on goal.
Women's soccer returns to action on Friday, April 2, where they will take on University of the Cumberlands in the quarterfinals of the MSC Championships in Columbia, Kentucky at 5 p.m. ET.
