Women's Soccer Falls to No. 8 Cumberlands

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More University fell, 7-1, to eighth-ranked University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) today (Tuesday, March 23, 2021) in a Mid-South Conference match at BB&T Field Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

• Cumberlands scored in the fifth, 42^nd, 61^st, 65^th, 68^th and 90^th minute.
• Sophomore midfielder Ryann Meddings (Fairfield, Ohio/Fairfield) scored the Saints' lone goal on a penalty kick in the 70^th minute.

• The Saints falls to 2-9 overall and 2-8 in the Mid-South.
• Cumberlands improves to 14-1 overall and 10-1 in the Mid-South.
• First-year goalkeeper Izzy Whitis (Bardstown, Ky./Thomas More Nelson) suffered the loss in goal as she played 69:35 in goal and allowed five goals, while recording five saves.
• First-year goalkeeper Taylor Stahl (Cincinnati, Ohio/Roger Bacon) played 20:09 and allowed two goals.

• The Saints close out the regular season on Friday (March 26) when they host the University of Pikeville at 5 p.m. at BB&T Field.
