Thomas More Shuts Out Trinity Christian, 1-0, in Season Opener

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More University men's soccer team opened the season with a 1-0 win over Trinity Christian University today (Friday, February 5, 2021) at BB&T Field in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

• The Saints scored the lone goal of the match in the 48^th minute when senior defender Adam Mathews (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) scored off an assist by sophomore midfielder Charlie Allan (Cardiff, Wales/Cardiff)

• Thomas More out-shot the Trolls 10-5, including 5-1 on-goal and won the battle of corner kicks 5-2.
• Junior midfielder Dominic Russo (Park Hills, Ky./Covington Catholic) led the Saints in shots with two.
• Sophomore goalkeeper George Tidswell (Skipton, England/South Craven School) earned the shutout win as he played all 90 minutes and recorded one save.

• Thomas More returns to the pitch on Tuesday (February 9) when it hosts Concordia (Mich.) University at 3 p.m.
