Box Score Columbia, Ky. - The no. 16 ranked men's basketball program at Thomas More defeated Lindsey Wilson by a score of 66-61. With the win the Saints improve to 8-1 on the season and 4-0 in Mid-South Conference play.
- Redshirt junior forward Ryan Batte (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) hit two free throws to score the first points of the night, giving the Saints a 2-0 lead.
- Graduate Student Luke Rudy (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) would hit a three with 13:54 left in the half to cut Lindsey's lead to 12-9.
- Sophomore Noah Pack (Georgetown, Ohio/Georgetown) scored five straight points for Thomas More to cut the Blue Raiders lead to two at 18-16.
- Batte made a layup with 5:05 left in the first half to cut Lindsey's lead to 21-20.
- Rudy hit a three-pointer to end the half to make the score 29-25 in favor of Lindsey Wilson.
- Graduate student Garren Bertsch (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) opened up the second half with a bang as he and Rudy hit back-to-back three's to give the Saints their first lead since 2-0, at 31-29.
- After Lindsey made a bit of a run Pack would hit a three-pointer to tie the game back up at 36 all with 15:46 remaining in regulation.
- Pack would helped the Saints retake the lead at 40-38 as the 6-9 forward grabbed an offensive board and put it up and in.
- First-year guard Casey George (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington) continued to be big for Thomas More hitting a three to give them a 47-44 lead with just under nine minutes to go.
- Batte converted an and-one to give the Saints the momentum and their biggest lead of the game at 59-53 with just under three to go.
- Pack would hit two free throws with four seconds to go to cap off the 66-61 win for Thomas More.
- Batte led the team in scoring with 21 points and also posted seven rebounds.
- Pack also had a big night as the sophomore forward notched 14 point, 10 rebound double-double, while adding four assists.
- The team shot 43.4 % from the field and 42.9% from behind the arc.
- The Saints outrebounded the Blue Raiders 34-22.
The men's basketball team will return to the court on Saturday, December 11, when they host Wilberforce in the Connor Convocation Center at 2 p.m. ET.
