Box Score Crestview Hills, Ky. - The women's volleyball program at Thomas More defeated Bethel in five sets to win in thrilling fashion. With the win the Saints improve to 18-3 on the season and 6-2 in Mid-South Conference play, also improved to 5-0 at home.
- Thomas More won sets two, three, and five by scores of 25-19, 25-15, and 15-11.
- Bethel won sets one and four by scores of 25-17 and 29-27.
- Senior outside hitter Emily Mohs (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) tallied 19 kills for the Saints to lead the team.
- First-year outside hitter Sydney Hilderbran (Cincinnati, Ohio / Lakota West) contributed 11 kills and one block in the win.
- Senior Lizzie Schoenfeld (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) and first-year Sam McClanahan (Georgetown, Ky. / Scott County) had a team high 24 assists each, McClanahan also notched four solo blocks.
- First-year defensive specialist Asia Ferrando (Masone, Italy / Barletti Ovada) registered 20 digs to lead the team on defense.
- Junior Sawyer Lorentz (Dover, Ohio/Dover) was a big defensive presence as the middle hitter had six total blocks with four being solo.
- The Saints recorded 11 total blocks as a team.
The women's volleyball team return to action tomorrow when they face off with Freed Hardeman University in the Connor Convocation Center, opening tip is set for 2 p.m. ET.
