Meyer Knocks in Game Winning Header to Defeat Georgetown

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University men's soccer team defeated Georgetown 2-1 on Wednesday evening (October 27) on senior night. The Saints overall record improves to 5-9-2 and 3-8 in the conference. 

• In the 38th minute, junior Matt Lodge (Northampton, England / Northampton Town) scored off of a header by junior Andrew Wahl (Covington, Ky./Holy Cross) from a crossed ball by sophomore Dan Hill (Tewkesbury, England / Hartpury) to give the Saints the 1-0 lead.
• Georgetown's Sebastian Bocaz Cana score with 8:26 left to play in the game to equalize things at 1-1.
• With 55 seconds left in overtime, first-year Flo Meyer (Mulheim, Germany / Luisenschule) knocked in a header crossed by Lodge (2-1).

• Lodge's one shot of the game, found the back of the net for a goal.
• Hill and Wahl both recorded an assist.
• Senior Griffin Garrison (Cincinnati, Ohio / McNicholas) recorded two shots with both being on goal.
• Junior Charlie Allan (Cardiff, Wales / Cardiff) tallied one shot.
• Meyer had four shots, three of which were on goal, and one found the back of the net.
• Junior Reese Foster (Florence, Ky./Covington Catholic) recorded three shots and had one on goal. 
• Sophomore Ben Oliver (Eckington,England / Hartpury College) had four shots with one on goal. 
• Junior Thomas Wolfe (Marysville, Ohio / Marysville) had four shots with three being on goal.
• Junior goalkeeper George Tidswell (Skipton, England / South Craven School) made three saves. 

The Saints return to the field next week to compete in the Mid-South Conference Tournament (Date & versus' TBD).
