Box Score Pikeville, Ky. - The women's soccer program at Thomas More defeated Pikeville on Saturday (October 2), by a score of 4-2. With the win the Saints move to 8-2 and 4-0 in Mid-South Conference play.
- Sophomore Ainsley Clark (Oxford, Ohio / Talawanda) got things started for Thomas More at the 15:31 mark to give the Saints a 1-0 lead.
- First-year Eva Kinwel (Anaheim, Netherlands / Beehadal lyceum) continued her impressive campaign with a goal in the 21st minute off a feed from senior Jordan Harley (Cincinnati, Ohio / Mother of Mercy), growing the lead to 2-0.
- Sophomore Sydney Rhodes (South Lebanon, Ohio / Kings) started the second half off with a bang as the righty found the back of the net one minute after the second half began, increasing the lead to 3-0 in favor of Thomas More.
- Harley would find the back of the net for the Saints as the captain made the lead 4-0 via an assist from Rhodes.
- In the 68th minute the Bears would find the score board as Kylie Maynard would score.
- Pikeville would cap off the scoring as Lillie Kluesner would score in the 73rd mintue, bringing the final to 4-2 with Thomas More winning.
- Rhodes tallied a career high seven shots.
- Kinwel scores her team leading sixth goal of the season.
- Harley and Rhodes score their fourth goals of the season.
- The Saint outshot the Bears 27-4.
- Thomas More had 10 shots on goal compared to two of Pikeville.
