Box Score Lebanon, Tenn. - The men's soccer program at Thomas More fell to Mid-South Conference foe Cumberland University by a score of 4-0 on Wednesday afternoon (October 13).
- Tyler Watson opened the scoring for the Phoenix after being found by Austin Morenzoni.
- Cumberland would find the net once again in the eighth minute via a goal Brandon Gonzalez off a feed from Nicklas Rulle, making the score 2-0.
- Watson would once again find the back of the net as Carson Tighe delivered the ball to make the socre 3-0 Phoenix.
- Watson would be involved in the scoring one final time this time he would feed Carson Tighe to bring the score final to 4-0.
- The Saints had 11 total shots with four being on goal.
- First-year Flo Meyer (Mulheim, Germany / Luisenschule) tallied four total shots, two of which were on frame.
- Defender Matt Lodge (Northampton, England / Northampton Town) had one shot that was on goal.
- Sophomore Ben Oliver (Eckington,England / Hartpury College) registered one shot which was on goal.
- Junior George Tidswell (Skipton, England / South Craven School) made two saves in the contest.
The men's soccer team will return to the pitch this Saturday, October 16, when they travel to Pulaski, Tennessee to take on conference opponent UT Southern at 6:30 p.m. ET.
