Late Push Comes Up Short, Saints Fall to Centre 2-1

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More University men's soccer team scored a late goal and made a strong push to tie the score, but the Saints ultimately fell 2-1 to Centre College on a rainy night at BB&T Field (Monday, August 26, 2019).

• Senior forward Ethan Smith found the back of the net for the Saints in the 87th minute when he stepped between a bouncing ball and a charging goalkeeper and finished in an empty net.

• Smith tallied five shots on goal in the contest.
• Defender Pierce Turner also managed a shot on goal.
• Goalkeeper George Tidswell saved nine shots.

• Thomas More will travel to Asbury to take on the Eagles on Thursday, September 5.
