Saints Advance to Mid-South Finals After Beating Third Seed Georgetown in Four Sets

(BOWLING GREEN, Ky.) — The second-seeded Thomas More University women's volleyball team outlasted the third seeded Georgetown College in four sets in Friday afternoon's (November 14 2019) Mid-South Conference Tournament semifinal match at Bowling Green Arena in Bowling Green, Ky.

• Thomas More, which received votes in the latest NAIA Top 25 poll, won by the scores of 25-21, 26-28, 25-20, 25-8.
• The Saints improved to 24-7 overall.
• Georgetown fell to 19-13 overall with the loss.
• Sophomore Emily Mohs (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) led the Saints attack in dominant fashion with 20 kills and a .474 hitting percentage. It was Mohs's fourth 20-kill game of the season
• Senior Jenna Mummert (Batavia, Ohio/Clermont Northeastern) totaled 11 kills and seven digs.
• Senior Madison Krumpelman (Crestview Hills, Ky./Holy Cross) finished with 12 digs and five kills.
• Junior libero Jessica Ginn (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) had a team-high 18 digs.
• Senior defensive specialist Sara Crooker (Williamsburg, Ohio/McNicholas) finished with 11 digs.
• Sophomore setter Lizzie Schoenfeld (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) led the team with 20 assists.
• Junior setter Madison Read (Hebron, Ky./St. Henry) finished with 16 assists.

• Thomas More will advance to the championship game of the Mid-South Conference Tournament, where they will face the winner of the match between first-seeded Lindsey Wilson College and fifth-seeded Life University. The final match will be played Saturday (November 16) at 7 p.m. Eastern/6 p.m. Central at Bowling Green Arena.
