Smith Scores Twice in Saints 5-2 Loss to Life

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More University men's soccer team dropped a Mid-Conference match against Life on Wednesday night (October 9, 2019), losing 5-2 at BB&T Field.

• Senior forward Ethan Smith (Columbus, Ind./Columbus North) scored the Saints' first goal in the 79th minute on a penalty kick after junior defender Adam Mathews (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) was fouled in the box to cut the deficit to 5-1. 
• Smith scored again just 1:07 later in the 81st minute to make the score 5-2 in favor of the Running Eagles.

• Thomas More fell to 4-6 overall and 0-3 in the Mid-South.
• Life moved to 5-3 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
• Smith leads the team with 10 goals this season, setting a new career high, and led the Saints offense on the night with five shot attempts and three shots on goal.

• The Saints will travel to Cumberlands for a Mid-South Conference matchup on Saturday, October 12 at 7:30 p.m.
