(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More University men's soccer team played Shawnee State University to a 1-1 draw tonight (Saturday, October 19, 2019) in a Mid-South Conference match at BB&T Field in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
- Thomas More took a 1-1 lead in the 59th minute when junior forward Brendan Jones (Cincinnati, Ohio/Summit Country Day) found the back of the net.
- Shawnee State scored the equalizer in the 81st minute off the foot of Mitchell Patchett.
- Thomas More is now 4-8-1- overall and 0-5-1 in the Mid-South.
- The Bears are now 8-6-1 overall and 1-3-1 in the Mid-South.
- First-year goalkeeper George Tidswell (Skipton, England/South Craven School) played all 110 minutes in goal and recorded six saves.
- Jones led the team in shots with two, including one on-goal.
- The Saints return to action on Wednesday (October 23) when they travel to Campbellsville, Kentucky to play 25th-ranked Campbellsville University.
