Box Score (CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - The ACAA Conference honored Pierce Turner (Milford, Ohio / Milford) of Thomas More's men's soccer team for this weeks Defensive Player of the Week.
Turner, a sophomore defender, helped lead the Saints to a 1-0-1 record last week. He anchored a defense that posted one shutout, while allowing 22 shots. Turner also scored the Saints' equalizing goal against Rose-Hulman in the 48th minute.
Turner has recorded two goals so far this season for a total of four points off of six shots. One of Turner's goals was the game winning goal against Otterbein.
The Saints are currently 3-1-1 heading into their match today with Anderson. Thomas More is coming off a 1-0 win against preseason No. 11-ranked Otterbein. The men's team returns home on Sept. 15 as they host Kenyon at 4:00pm.
