Box Score (CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - The Thomas More men's basketball team notched its first win of the 2018-19 season tonight, as they took down Kent St. Tuscarawas in the opening games of the Coach Jim Connor Classic, 91-42. With the win, Head Coach Justin Ray receives his first collegiate win as a head coach and the Saints move to 1-1 on the season.
- Senior Brandon Horne (Louisville, Ky. / Male) led the game with 13 points on the night, along with six rebounds, one assist, one block , and went 6-7 from the field.
- Seniors Ralph Stone (Shelbyville, Ky. / Martha Layne Collins) and Damion King (Winchester, Ky. / George Rogers Clark), who was named the Jimmy Johns Player of the Game, each put up 12 points in the game.
- King also recorded three rebounds, three assists, two steals, and went 2-2 from the foul line.
- Stone also put up three assists and four rebounds.
- Kort Justice (Vandalia, Ohio / Butler) recorded 11 points on the night, along with one rebound and one assist.
- The Saints out-shot the Golden Eagles .507 to .268.
- 19 different Saints saw significant playing time tonight.
- The Saints take on Akron-Wayne in day two of the Jim Connor Classic.
- Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. in the Connor Convocation Center.
