Box Score (BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – The Thomas More College volleyball team went 2-for-2 on the day defeating Geneva 3-0, with scores of 26-24, 25-13, 25-12. With the win, the Saints add on to their 11 game win streak to improve to 15-4 overall and 9-0 in the PAC. With the loss, the Golden Tornados fall to 6-14 overall and 5-2 in the PAC.
Rachel Bronner recorded 20 digs and one assist in the match. Jenna Mummert had four service aces, 13 kills, three assisted blocks, one solo block, and one assist. Jenna Fessler recorded 34 assists, five kills, eight digs, and one assisted block. Jessica Ginn recorded 11 digs, one ace, and one assist. Madison Krumpelman recorded six kills, one assisted block, and four digs. Carlee Lambert had 11 kills, one assisted block, and three digs.
In the first set, Thomas More and Geneva started off back and forth until Geneva took a lead 18-10. Thomas More battled its way back to eventually tie the set at 21-21 from a kill by Krumpelman. The Saints went on to win it 26-24.
The second set, the Saints scored first and stayed ahead the entire set. Thomas More won the match, 25-13. The Third match was similar, after Geneva scored the first point, Thomas More went on a 5-0 run and never looked back. Saints won the third set 25-12.
The Saints look to continue their win streak as they take on Chatham on Oct. 1. The match is set to start at 1:00 PM.
