Box Score (CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – Senior outside hitter Marisa Meyer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) tallied a match-high 14 kills to lead the Thomas More College volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Westminster College today (Sunday, September 18, 2016) in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match at the Connor Convocation Center in Crestview Hills, Kentucky. The Saints won the match by the scores of 25-18, 27-25 and 25-16.
With the win, the Saints improve to 6-6 overall and remain undefeated in the PAC at 4-0. With the loss, the Titans fall to 8-7 overall and 2-2 in the PAC.
Besides Meyer, the Saints' offensive attack was led by senior middle hitter Alexis Bierbaum (Cincinnati, Ohio/McAuley) with 13 kills and senior outside hitter Paige Noday (Cincinnati, Ohio/McNicholas). First-year setter Alli Borders (Florence, Ky./Boone County) led the team in assists with 39.
Thomas More's defense was led by first-year outside hitter Madison Krumpelman (Crestview Hills, Ky./Holy Cross) and sophomore defensive specialist Leanne Dant (Louisville, Ky./Bethlehem) as they each had 16 digs, while Meyer finished with nine.
The Saints return to action on Wednesday (September 21) when they host traditional rival Hanover at 7 p.m. at the Connor Convocation Center.
