Box Score (CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More College men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season today (Sunday, September 13, 2015) as it fell, 1-0, to Denison University in a non-conference match at BB&T Field in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
With the loss, the Saints fall to 3-1 and with the win, the Big Red improve to 4-0.
Denison scored the lone goal of the match early in the second half when Kennedy Kommor scored unassisted at the 48:37 mark.
Freshman goalkeeper Jeff Paulin (Alexandria, Ky./Bishop Brossart) suffered his first loss in goal as he played all 90 minutes and allowed one goal, while recording four saves.
Denison out-shot Thomas More, 11-8, but the Saints had a 6-5 advantage in shots on-goal. The Saints also won the battle of corner kicks, 5-3.
Thomas More returns to action on Thursday (September 17) when it hosts in-state rival Centre College at 4:30 p.m. at BB&T Field.
