Box Score (CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More College volleyball team swept Saint Vincent College, 3-0, tonight (Monday, October 19, 2015) in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match at the Connor Convocation Center in Crestview Hills, Kentucky. The Saints won by the scores of 25-18, 25-13 and 25-15.
With the win, the Saints improve to 18-3 and remain undefeated in the PAC at 16-0. With the loss, the Bearcats fall to 12-15 overall and 5-9 in the PAC.
Senior outside hitter Stacy Howell (Cincinnati, Ohio/Glen Este) led the Saints' offense with a match-high 17 kills and four service aces. Senior middle hitter Jessica Knaley (Florence, Ky./St. Henry) finished the match with 10 kills and three service aces, while sophomore setter Jenna Fessler (Fort Mitchell, Ky./Beechwood) led the team in assists with 37 and freshman defensive specialist Leanne Dant (Louisville, Ky./Bethlehem) had three service aces.
The Saints defense was led by junior outside hitter Marisa Meyer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) with 10 digs. Howell and sophomore defensive specialist Rachel Bronner (Reading, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) each finished with nine digs, while Knaley led the team in blocks with three.
Thomas More returns to action on Wednesday (October 21) when it host Geneva College and DePauw University in a tri-match at the Connor Convocation Center. The Saints will play Geneva at 3 p.m. and DePauw at 7 p.m.
