Box Score (CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - The Thomas More College volleyball team ran its winning streak to 10 matches as it defeated Bluffton University, 3-0, tonight (Wednesday, September 17, 2014) in a non-conference match at the Connor Convocation Center in Crestview Hills, Kentucky. The Saints won by the scores of 25-17, 25-18 and 25-23.
With the win, the Saints improve to 11-1 and with the loss, the Beavers fall to 11-3.
Junior middle hitter Jessica Knaley (Florence, Ky./St. Henry) led the Saints as she hit .480 with a match-high 15 kills. Junior outside hitter Stacy Howell (Cincinnati, Ohio/Glen Este) finished with 12 kills and had a .320 attack percentage, while sophomore middle hitter Alexis Bierbaum (Cincinnati, Ohio/McAuley) had an .800 attack percentage . Freshman setter Jenna Fessler (Fort Mitchell, Ky./Beechwood) led the team in assists with 34 and service aces with four.
Senior defensive specialist Kelsey Castiglioni (Harrison Township, Mich./L'Anse Creuse) led the Saints in in digs with 16.
Thomas More returns to action on Saturday (September 20) when it travels to Danville, Kentucky to play Hendrix College at 3 p.m. and Centre College at 5 p.m.
