Box Score (CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More College volleyball team fell, 3-1, to Bethany College tonight (Wednesday, October 22, 2014) in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match at the Connor Convocation Center in Crestview Hills, Kentucky. The Bison won the match by the scores of 25-18, 21-25, 25-23 and 25-18.
With the loss, the Saints fall to 22-4 overall and 12-2 in the PAC. With the win, the Bison improve to 20-11 overall and 13-2 in the PAC.
Senior outside hitter Felicity Britt (Alexandria, Ky./Bishop Brossart) led the Saints' offense with 16 kills, while junior middle hitter Jessica Knaley (Florence, Ky./St. Henry) and junior outside hitter Stacy Howell (Cincinnati, Ohio/Glen Este) each finished with nine kills. Freshman setter Jenna Fessler (Fort Mitchell, Ky./Beechwood) led the team in assists with 45.
Senior defensive specialist Kelsey Castiglioni (Harrison Township, Mich./L'Anse Creuse) led the team in digs with 15, while senior defensive specialist Christina Newport-Brackett (Louisville, Ky./Seneca) finished with nine.
Thomas More returns to action on Saturday (October 25) when it travels to Latrobe, Pennsylvania for a tri-match. The Saints will play host Saint Vincent College at 11 a.m. and Penn State University – Fayette at 1 p.m.
