Box Score (BETHANY, W.Va.) - The third-seeded Thomas More College volleyball team defeated second-seeded Geneva College, 3-0, tonight (Friday, November 8, 2013) in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Tournament semifinal match at Hummel Field House in Bethany, West Virginia. The Saints won by the scores of 25-18, 26-24 and 25-16.
With the win, the Saints improve to 23-5 and advance to the PAC Tournament championship match tomorrow (Saturday, November 9), where they will play top-seeded Bethany College at 4 p.m. at Hummel Field House. With the loss, the Golden Tornadoes fall to 22-10.
Sophomore middle hitter Jessica Knaley (Florence, Ky./St. Henry) led the Saints as she hit .524 with a match-high 13 kills. Freshman outside hitter Marisa Meyer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) added nine kills and sophomore outside hitter Stacy Howell (Cincinnati, Ohio/Glen Este) had seven kills. Junior outside hitter Holly Bronner (Reading, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) paced the offense with a match-high 30 assists.
Thomas More had two double-digit digs as junior defensive specialist Kelsey Castiglioni (Harrison Township, Mich./L'Anse Creuse) had a match-high 26 and senior defensive specialist Brittany Rohrkasse (Mason, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) had 12.
