Box Score (CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - The Thomas College volleyball team defeated Chatham University, 3-0, tonight (Thursday, October 17, 2013) in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match at the Connor Convocation Center in Crestview Hills, Kentucky. Thomas More won the match by the scores of 25-6, 25-10 and 25-8.
With the win, the Saints improve to 15-4 overall and 9-2 in the PAC. With the loss, the Cougars fall to 0-22 overall and 0-13 in the PAC.
Sophomore middle hitter Jessica Knaley (Florence, Ky./St. Henry) and freshman outside hitter Kellie Behrle (Cincinnati, Ohio/Roger Bacon) led the offensive attack with seven kills each as nine different Saints had at least one kill in the match. Knaley led the team in service aces with five, while sophomore setter Becca Kuhn (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) led the team with 13 assists and junior outside hitter Holly Bronner (Reading, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) added 10 assists.
Nine Saints had a dig in the match and junior defensive specialist Kelsey Castiglioni (Harrison Township, Mich./L'Anse Creuse) led the team with 10.
Thomas More returns to action on Saturday (October 19) when it plays two matches in two different cities in Western Pennsylvania. The Saints will play Waynesburg University at 12 p.m. in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania and Grove City College at 6 p.m. in Grove City, Pennsylvania.
