Box Score (CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - The Thomas More College volleyball team swept Waynesburg University, 3-0, tonight (Friday, September 28, 2012) in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match at the Connor Convocation Center in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.  The Saints won by the scores of 25-17, 25-10 and 25-13.
With the win, the Saints improve to 12-4 overall and remain undefeated in the PAC at 5-0.  With the loss, the Yellow Jackets fall to 5-10 overall and 1-6 in the PAC.
The Saints' offensive attack was led by freshman middle hitter Jessica Knaley (Florence, Ky./St. Henry), who had nine kills.  Sophomore outside hitter Karsen Cronin (Fairfield, Ohio/Fairfield) had five, while junior middle hitter Tyler Deaton (Lexington, Ky./Lexington Catholic) and freshman Stacy Howell (Cincinnati, Ohio/Glen Este) added four each.  Senior setter Tori Verville (Edgewood, Ky./Holy Cross) led the team in assists with 20, while freshman setter Natalie Lietz (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) finished with five.
Sophomore defensive specialist Kelsey Castiglioni (Harrison Township, Mich./L'Anse Creuse) led the team in digs with 14.  Junior defensive specialist Brittany Rohrkasse (Mason, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) added nine digs, sophomore defensive specialist Christina Brackett-Newport (Louisville, Ky./Seneca) had eight and Verville finished with four.
The Saints return to the court tomorrow when they host Saint Vincent College and Bethany College in a tri-match.  Thomas More will play Saint Vincent at 11 a.m. and Bethany at 3 p.m. inside the Connor Convocation Center.
