Box Score (ADA, Ohio) - The Thomas More College men's soccer team fell, 5-0, to No. 8-ranked Ohio Northern University today (Saturday, September 22, 2012) at the ONU Soccer Field in Ada, Ohio.
With the loss, the Saints fall to 4-1-3 and with the win, the Polar Bears improve to 8-2-0.
Ohio Northern led 3-0 at halftime as it scored at 12:16, 21:23 and 24:55. The Polar Bears closed out the scoring at 76:51 and 84:51 for the 5-0 victory.
The Saints played three goalkeepers in the match as sophomore Matt Kees (Covington, Ky./Scott) played 45 minutes and allowed three goals, while recording one save, junior Kevin Poe (Bethel, Ohio/Bethel-Tate) played 27:55 and freshman Craig Martin (Hilliard, Ohio/Hilliard Daby) played 17:05 and allowed two goals.
Ohio Northern out-shot Thomas More 11-3 and won the battle of corner kicks, 4-2.
Thomas More returns to action on Monday (September 24) when it hosts across-the-river rival, the College of Mount St. Joseph at 4 p.m. at The Bank of Kentucky Field.
