Box Score (NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.) - The Thomas More College volleyball team clinched the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) regular season outright today (Saturday, October 27, 2012) as it defeated Westminster College, 3-0, in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania. The Saints won by the scores of 25-18, 25-20 and 25-22.
With the win, the Saints improve to 23-5 overall and 16-1 in the PAC. With the loss, the Titans fall to 21-10 overall and 11-7 in the PAC.
The Saints were led offensively, by senior outside hitter Hanna Lietz (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) with nine kills. Freshman outside hitter Jessica Knaley (Florence, Ky./St. Henry) and sophomore outside hitter Felicity Britt (Alexandria, Ky./Bishop Brossart) each added eight kills. Senior setter Tori Verville (Edgewood, Ky./Holy Cross) led the team in assists with 32.
Defensively, Thomas More was led by sophomore defensive specialist Kelsey Castiglioni (Harrison Township, Mich./L'Anse Creuse) with 24 digs, while Lietz added 15 and junior defensive specialist Brittany Rohrkasse (Mason, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) added nine.
The Saints close out the regular season tomorrow when they travel to Latrobe, Pennsylvania to play Saint Vincent College at 1 p.m.
