Box Score (CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - The Thomas More College men's soccer team remained undefeated as it defeated Campbellsville University, 2-0, tonight (Friday, September 16, 2011) in a non-conference match at The Bank of Kentucky Field in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
With the win, the Saints improve to 5-0-0 and with the loss, the Tigers fall to 0-4-1.
Thomas More took a 1-0 lead at the 21:56 mark when senior midfielder Alex Oeswein (Louisville, Ky./DuPont Manual) scored on a 35-yard free kick. Oeswein increased the Saints' lead to 2-0 when he scored at the 32:23 mark on a double assists from freshman forward Alec Robbins (Taylor Mill, Ky./Scott) and senior defender Keith Kreidenweis (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder).
Senior Zack Lawson (Frankfort, Ky./Frankfort) improve to 5-0 in goal as he played all 90 minutes and recorded 10 saves.
Campbellsville out-shot Thomas More, 20-10, and corner kicks were tied at 4-4.
The Saints return to the pitch at The Bank of Kentucky Field on Sunday (September 18) for a non-conference match at 1 p.m. with Hanover College.
