Box Score (GREENVILLE, Pa.) - The Thomas More College volleyball team fell, 3-2, to Thiel College tonight (Wednesday, October 11, 2011) in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match at Beeghly Gymnasium in Greenville, Pennsylvania. The Tomcats won the by the scores of 17-25, 25-23, 25-16, 18-25 and 16-14.
With the loss, the Saints fall to 10-9 overall and 6-4 in the PAC and with the win, the Tomcats improve to 13-8 overall and 8-4 in the PAC.
Junior outside hitter Hannah Lietz (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) led the Saints' offensive attack with a 10 kills, while adding 21 digs. Senior setter Michelle Clifford (Cincinnati, Ohio/McAuley) led the team in assists with 23, while junior setter Tori Verville (Edgewood, Ky./Holy Cross) added 21 assists and freshman defensive specialist Kelsey Castiglioni (Harrison Township, Mich./L'anse Creuse) led the team in digs with 32.
Thomas More returns to action on Thursday (October 13) when it hosts Chatham University in a 7 p.m. PAC match at the Connor Convocation Center in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
