(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) — The Thomas More University women's volleyball team swept Wittenberg in a non-conference match to keep its home winning streak intact on Tuesday night (October 15, 2019) at the Connor Convocation Center and improve to 16-6.


  • Thomas More won by the scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-14.
  • The Saints improved to 5-0 at home and extended their winning streak at the Connor Convocation Center to 27 matches. Their last home loss was in five sets to Hanover on September 21, 2016.
  • Wittenberg, which competes in NCAA Division III, fell to 10-7.
  • Senior middle hitter Jenna Mummert (Batavia, Ohio/Clermont Northeastern) led the Saints with 12 kills (.526 hitting percentage) and two blocks.
  • First-year middle hitter Sawyer Lorentz (Dover, Ohio/Dover) had six kills and six blocks.
  • Sophomore outside hitter Emily Mohs (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) finished with 12 kills.
  • Senior outside hitter Madison Krumpelman (Crestview Hills, Ky./Holy Cross) had eight kills (.400 hitting percentage) and 13 digs.
  • Sophomore setter Lizzie Schoenfeld (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) had 18 assists and 11 digs.
  • Junior setter Madison Read (Hebron, Ky./St. Henry) finished with 13 assists.
  • Junior defensive specialist Jessica Ginn (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) had 16 digs.
  • Senior defensive specialist Sara Crooker (Williamsburg, Ohio/McNicholas) tallied 11 digs.

  • Thomas More will return to Mid-South Conference play when they host Shawnee State at the Connor Convocation Center on Thursday, October 17 at 7 p.m. The Saints defeated the Bears on the road in five sets earlier this season.
