Women's Tennis Defeats Marietta, 7-2, on the Road

(MARIETTA, Ohio)  – The Thomas More women's tennis team defeated Marietta College, 7-2, today (Saturday, September 15, 2018) in Marietta, Ohio.

Thomas More improve to 3-1 on the season.

  • Junior Brooke Warden (Edgewood, Ky./Dixie Heights) won at No. 1 by the score of 6-0, 6-0.
  • Sophomore Hannah Lowman (Vine Grove, Ky./North Hardin) fell 7-6 (7-3), 3-6, 10-6 at No. 2.
  • Senior Sarah Fellinger (North Bend, Ohio/Taylor) fell at No. 3 by the score of 7-5, 3-6, 10-2.
  • Sophomore Matison Perry (Union, Ky./Ryle) won 6-4, 6-0 at No. 4.
  • Junior Lacey Pohlman (Fort Thomas, Ky./Highlands) won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5.
  • Sophomore Jana Riffe (Fort Thomas, Ky./Highlands) won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6.

  • The No. 1 tandem of Warden and Lowman won 8-1.
  • No. 2 pair of Fellinger and senior Nicole Capodagli (Cincinnati, Ohio/McAuley) won 8-0.
  • First-year Alyssa Dowdell (Vine Grove, Ky./North Hardin) and first-year Kayla Snyder (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) teamed to win 8-2 at No. 3.

  • Thomas More stays on the road as it will play Muskingum University at 12 p.m. tomorrow in New Concord, Ohio.
