Women's Soccer to Take On Centre Wednesday

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - The 1-6 Thomas More women's soccer team travels to Centre College to take on the Colonels Wednesday night 7:00pm. 

  • The Thomas More women's soccer team looks to take down the 6-0 Centre Colonels. 
  • The match is set to start at at 7 p.m. 

  • The Saints notched thier first victory of the season against Sewanee on Saturday, 1-0.
  • Sophomore defender Abby Hutcheson scored the lone goal of the match in the 50th minute off an assist by junior defender Gracie Kunkel.
  • The Saints out-shot the Tigers, 4-3.
  • Junior goalkeeper Maddy Kim earned the shutout victory as she played all 90 minutes and had one save.
  • First-year defender Jordan Harley led the team in shots with two.
  • The Saints fell to Emory, 4-2.
  • Lindsey Brown scored her first goal of the season in the 19th minute to tie the game at 1-1. 
  • Olivia Nienaber scored her second goal on the season to tie the game back up at 2-2. 

  • The Colonels come into the match 6-0, coming off a 3-1 win against Mount St. Joseph.
  • Centre has shut-out two teams this season, including Mount Union and John Carroll.
  • The team has recorded 18 goals this season, 119 shots, 63 shots on goal, and 11 assists. 
  • Alana Hughes leads the team in goals (4), points (8), and shots (18).
  • Brooke Smithson leads the team in assists with three.
