Women's Soccer Looks to Bounce Back, Hosting Capital Wednesday

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - The Thomas More women's soccer team looks to bounce back from an 0-2 start to the season with their first home game of the season, hosting Capital University. 

  • Thomas More Saints will host the Capital Crusaders Wednesday, Sept. 5.
  • First home game for Thomas More women's soccer. 
  • The Match will kick-off at 4:30pm at BB&T Field.

  • The Saints opened the season at the Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament where they came up short in both games.
  • Saints fell short to Otterbein, 3-0 on Saturday and to Baldwin Wallace 2-0 on Sunday.
  • Maddy Kim played all 180 minutes, recording 11 saves in the Otterbein game and three saves against Baldwin Wallace.
  • Olivia Nienaber took four shots with one shot on goal, leading the team so far this season.

  • The Capital women's soccer team comes into the match on Wednesday 1-0 overall after defeating Wittenberg on August 31.
  • Four different players scored against the Tigers for the Crusaders.
  • Jordan Fike leads the team with five shots and two shots on goal.
  • Casey King holds the lone assist on the team.
