(BEREA, Ohio) – The Thomas More University wrestling team finished ninth at the John Summa Invitational hosted by Baldwin-Wallace University today (Saturday, February 2, 2019) inside the Lou Higgins Center in Berea, Ohio.
- Sophomore Jimmy Traub (Cincinnati, Ohio/Sycamore) finished second at 165 with a 4-1 record as he had a pin in 2:12, an 11-4 and 5-1 decision and a 14-1 major decision before falling in the championship match.
- Junior James Caniglia (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland) had a 5-1 record and placed fifth at 197 as he had pins in 4:33, 5:00 and 3:28 and had decisions wins of 11-4 and 5-1.
- First-year Kelby Gay (Danville, Ohio/Danville) posted a 2-2 record at 133 with a pair of pins in 1:34 and 1:37.
- Thomas More is idle until February 12 when it hosts Manchester University in a dual match at 7 p.m. inside the Connor Convocation Center.
