Ron Russo

Ron Russo is entering his fifth season as the head men's and women's cross country coach at Thomas More University during the 2023-24 academic year.

He spent two seasons as the head men's and women's track and field coach. And is currently an assistant for both track programs. Prior to being named head track & field coach he spent three seasons as an assistant coach with the program.

Russo came to Thomas More from McAuley High School, where he has been the head cross country coach since 2009 and the head track & field coach since 2010. Prior to McAuley he was the cross country and track & field coach at Colerain High School from 1990 to 2009 and served as the athletic director at Colerain also from 1992 to 1996. 

Russo led Colerain to four-straight Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Division I State Championships (1997 to 2000) and finished state runner-up four times (1996, 2003 and 2004).  He has coached 22 all-state cross country student-athletes and over 40 all-state track & field student-athlete.  Over 25 student-athletes that Russo has coach have gone on to compete at the NCAA Division I, II and III levels.

Russo has a bachelor of science from Indiana University as well as a Masters of Arts and a masters of education from Miami University.
