Phil Amstutz enters his second season with the Saints during the 2025-2026 Athletic Seasons as Assistant Cross Country and Track Coach.
Amstutz graduated from Capital University (OH) receiving a Bachelors degree in Integrated Social Studies in 2006. He received his Masters Degree in Gifted and Talented from Georgetown College (KY) in 2013.
Amstutz joins the Saints with a total of 18 years of Head Coaching experience at HS Varsity level. Amstutz lead his Girls Cross Country teams to a State Runner-Up finish in 2017 in the KHSAA Class A Cross Country Championships. In the track world, Coach A led his Boys Track Team to a Class A KHSAA State Title in 2023. He has coached over 20 athletes to individual state titles, with multiple athletes continuing to run at the Collegiate level. In 2023, Amstutz was named the NKTFCA Male Track Coach of the Year and the KHSCA Male Track Coach of the Year.
Amstutz is married to his wife Amber for almost 14 years. Amstutz has a son Anderson (12) and twins girls Collins and Blakely (9). In his spare time coach Amstutz enjoys golfing, coaching his kids youth sports and travel.
