Lacrosse Falls to Anderson, 13-3, on Senior Day

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) - The Thomas More women's lacrosse team played its last home game of the season tonight, celebrating the team's lone senior, Gillian Casey, for senior day. The Saints fell to the Anderson Ravens, 13-3. With the loss, the Saints move to 1-10 on the season overall. 

  • In the second half, Aleyna Heyman got the Saints on the board off a free position shot, scoring her first goal of the season. 
  • Katie Rice found the back of the net off an unassisted shot, to score the second goal of the game for the Saints. 
  • Jalee Connor scored the final goal of the game for the Saints with three minutes to go off a free position shot. 

  • Katie Rice led the team with six shots in the game, three of which were on goal, along with five caused turnovers. 
  • Connor recorded five shots for two shots on goal, one ground ball, and one draw control.
  • Erin Carrus added four shots, two of which were on goal along with one draw control. 
  • Heyman recorded three shots, two on goal, along with one ground ball and one draw control. 
  • The Saints had the 7-6 caused turnover advantage.
  • Kennedy Yurt played all 60-minutes in goal, recording six saves off 19 shots. 

  • Thomas More concludes their season on April 27, taking on Earlham.
