Thomas More In First Place After First Round 372 at Roger Merb Invitational

(MCDERMOTT, Ohio) – The Thomas More University women's golf team shot a first round 3712 today (Monday, October 14, 2019) and is in first place at the Roger Merb Invitational hosted by Shawnee State University at the Elks Country Club in McDermott, Ohio.

  • First-year Alex Schutte (Cincinnati, Ohio/Colerain) led the Saints as she carded an 88 and is in second place.
  • First-year Rachel Hummel (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mercy McAuley) is in fourth place after she fired a 91.
  • Senior Cora Bradford (Union, Ky./Ryle) is in fifth place as she shot a 92
  • First-year Reagan Toothaker (Frankfort, Ky./Franklin County) shot a 101 and is tied for 11th.
  • Sophomore Maddie Johnson (Greenup, Ky./Raceland-Worthington) is tied for 11th after carding a 101.
  • First-year Abby Wagner (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) competed as an individual and is tied for seventh with a 98.
  • Sophomore Franki Franklin (Anderson, Ohio/Anderson) competed as an individual and is 15th with a 108.

  • Thomas More will close out the Roger Merb Invitational with the final round tomorrow at Elks Country Club.
