Saints Finish Fifth at Bill Sergent Invitational

(PINEVILLE, Ky.) – The Thomas More University women's golf team shot a 36-hole team total of 740 (376-364) to finish fifth today (Sunday, September 8, 2019) at the Bill Sergent Invitational played at the Wasioto Winds Golf Course in Pineville, Kentucky.

  • First-year Rachel Hummel (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mercy McAuley) led the Saints as she finished tied for 15th with a 168 (86-82).
  • First-year Alex Schutte (Cincinnati, Ohio/Colerain) finished 27th with a 185 (91-94).
  • Senior Cora Bradford (Union, Ky./Ryle) shot a 189 (95-94) to finish 28th.
  • First-year Katelyn Whitaker (Guilford, Ind./East Central) finished 30th with a 198 (104-94).
  • Sophomore Maddie Johnson (Greenup, Ky./Raceland-Worthington) finished 33rd with a 112-108).

  • Thomas More had three golfers competing as individuals.
  • First-year Reagan Toothaker (Frankfort, Ky./Franklin County) finished 26th with a 183 (88-95).
  • First-year Abby Wagner (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) shot a 203 (106-97) to finish 31st.
  • Sophomore Franki Franklin (Anderson, Ohio/Anderson) shot a 212 (114-98) to finish 32nd.

  • The Saints return to the links on September 16 and 17 when they compete at the Blue Raider Fall Kickoff hosted by Lindsey Wilson College at The Pines at Lindsey Wilson in Columbia, Kentucky.
