Saints Shoot 376 and in Fifth Place at Bill Sergent Invitational

(PINEVILLE, Ky.) – The Thomas More University women's golf team shot a first round 376 today (Saturday, September 7, 2019) and is in fifth place at the Bill Sergent Invitational hosted by the University of the Cumberlands at the Wasioto Winds Golf Course in Pineville, Kentucky.

  • First-year Rachel Hummel (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mercy McAuley) led the Saints as she is tied for 20th with an 86.
  • First-year Alex Schutte (Cincinnati, Ohio/Colerain) is tied for 27th with a 91.
  • Senior Cora Bradford (Union, Ky./Ryle) is in 30th place with a 95.
  • First-year Katelyn Whitaker (Guilford, Ind./East Central) shot a 104 and is in 31st place.
  • Sophomore Maddie Johnson (Greenup, Ky./Raceland-Worthington) is in 33rd place with a 112.

  • Thomas More had three golfers compete as individuals.
  • First-year Reagan Toothaker (Frankfort, Ky./Franklin County) shot an 88 and is tied for 23rd.
  • First-year Abby Wagner (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) is in 32nd place with a 106.
  • Sophomore Franki Franklin (Anderson, Ohio/Anderson) shot a 114 and is in 34th place.

  • The Saints will close out the Bill Sergent Invitational tomorrow with a 9 .m. shotgun start at Wasioto Winds Golf Course.
