Thomas More Finishes Ninth at Wooster Spring Invitational

(JEROMESVILLE, Ohio) – The Thomas More College women's golf team shot a second round 397 today (Sunday, April 19, 2015) to finish ninth with an 800 (403-397) at the College of Wooster Spring Invitational at Mohican Hills Golf Club in Jeromesville, Ohio.

Thomas More had three golfers finish in the Top-50 as freshman Amber Greene (Catlettsburg, Ky./Fairview) finished tied for 39th with a 194 (99-95), sophomore Emilie Mattei (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) finished tied for 46th with a 197 (101-96) and freshman Shanna Doumont (Burlington, Ky./Villa Madonna) finished 50th with a 198 (99-99).  Freshman Sarah Roaden (Covington, Ky./Calvary Christian) finished 56th with a 214 (104-110) and freshman Lydia Fischesser (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mother of Mercy) finished 59th with a 239 (131-107).

Denison University won the team championship with a 655 (333-322) and the Big Red's Anne Miller won medalist honors with a 152 (80-72).

The Saints return to the links on April 24 and 25 when they compete at the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship at Cedarbrook Golf Club in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania.
