Thomas More Ninth After First Round of Wooster Spring Invitational

(JEROMESVILLE, Ohio) – The Thomas More College women's golf team fired a first round 403 today (Saturday, April 18, 2015) and is in ninth placed at the College of Wooster Spring Invitational at Mohican Hills Golf Club in Jeromesville, Ohio.

Freshman Shanna Doumont (Burlington, Ky./Villa Madonna) and freshman Amber Greene (Catlettsburg, Ky./Fairview) shot matching 99s and are tied for 40th.  Sophomore Emilie Mattei (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) shot a 101 and is tied for 45th, freshman Sarah Roaden (Covington, Ky./Calvary Christian) is in 53rd place with a 104 and freshman Lydia Fischesser (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mother of Mercy) is in 60th place with a 131.

Denison University leads the team standings with a 333 and the Big Red's Sophie Kollin is leading the individual standings with a 77.

The Saints will close out the Wooster Spring Invitational tomorrow with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
