Saints Finish Eighth at Westminster Invitational

(NEW CASTLE, Pa.) – The Thomas More College women's golf team shot a 429 and finished eighth at the Westminster College Invitational today (Saturday, April 11, 2015) at the New Castle Country Club in New Castle, Pennsylvania.

Freshman Shanna Doumont (Burlington, Ky./Villa Madonna) paced the Saints as she finished tied for 15th with a 97.  Two other Saints finished in the Top-30 as freshman Amber Greene (Catlettsburg, Ky./Fairview) finished 25th with a 104 and sophomore Emilie Mattei (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) placed tied for 26th with a 106.

Rounding out the Saints' scorers were freshman Sarah Roaden (Covington, Ky./Calvary Christian) in 36th with a 122 and junior Kelsey Hood (Carlisle, Ohio/Carlisle) in 37th with a 124.

Carnegie Mellon University won the team championship with a 370, while Grove City College's Esther Durling won medalist honors with an 80.

Saints return to the links on April 18 when they compete in the College of Wooster Invitational in Wooster, Ohio.
