This week, recent TMU alumnae and student-athletes Fessler and Temple were both acknowledged by The Collegiate Women Sports Awards (CWSA) for their extraordinary accomplishments. Announced Monday, Temple is named the 2019 Division III Honda Athlete of the Year, and, as of today, Fessler is named the 2019 winner of the Honda Inspiration Award.

Thomas More had three award winners, Madison Temple for women's basketball, and Andrea Gahan for last season's achievements in softball, winning the College Sportswoman of the Year for their respected sport. Also receiving an award is women's basketball Head Coach Jeff Hans, who was named the college Coach of the Year.

     The American Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) released their Academic All-ACAA Basketball team and honor roll. Michaela Ware, Madison Temple, and Briana McNutt were named from the women's team and Brandon Horne from the men's team to the All-Academic Team. Kaela Saner and Kelly Clapper from the women's team and Ryan Callahan and Braden Connor from the men's team were named All-Academic Honor Roll.

    (SALEM, Va.) – The top-ranked Thomas More University women’s basketball team won its third national title in five years tonight (Saturday, March 17, 2019) as it defeated third-ranked Bowdoin College, 81-67, in the 2019 NCAA Division III Championship Game at the Cregger Center on the campus of Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia. Thomas More caps an undefeated season at 33-0 and the Polar Bears end the season at 31-2.

The Saints improve to 32-0 and the Royals end the season at 29-3.
