(ATLANTA, Ga.) - Beyond Sports and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced today (Wednesday, March 6, 2019) 18 of the 20 NCAA Division III senior women's basketball players selected to participate in the inaugural Beyond Sports Women's Collegiate All-Star Game presented by the WBCA and Thomas More University senior guard Madison Temple (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) was one of the 18 players.
The 18 all-stars were chosen by a committee of head women's basketball coaches of NCAA Division III programs, who are also members of the WBCA. All players were nominated by WBCA member coaches.
Since the end of the regular season, Temple has been named the American Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) Player of the Year and finalist for the Jostens Trophy. She leads the team in scoring (23.5 per game), rebounding (7.4 per game), assists (164) and steals (82). She is shooting 62.5 percent (245-of-392) from the field, including 45.7 percent (43-of-94) from behind the three-point arc.
The inaugural Beyond Sports Women's Collegiate All-Star Game will be played at the Cregger Center on the campus of Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia, on March 16 immediately preceding the NCAA Division III women's basketball national championship game. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m. ET. Temple will be unavailable to participate if the Saints advance to the championship game.
