Thomas More Chosen to Host NCAA Tournament Sectional Rounds

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) - The National College Athletic Association's Division III women's basketball committee has announced the four host sites for next weekend's sectional round of the Division III Championship tournament and No. 1-ranked Thomas More University will host a sectional at the Connor Convocation Center in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

No. 22-ranked Washington University in St. Louis (21-6) will play No. 12-ranked University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (27-3) in the first sectional semifinal on Friday (March 8, 2019) at 5 p.m. and Thomas More (29-0) will play No. 18-ranked Transylvania University (27-2) in the second sectional semifinal at 7 p.m.  The two winners will play on Saturday (March 9) at 6:30 p.m. in the sectional finals for the right to advance to the national semifinals.

Ticket prices will be $7 for adults and $4 for senior citizens and students, while children ages four and under are free.  Thomas More will have pre-sale of its ticket allotment on Thursday (March 7) from 2 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. inside the athletic department office at the Connor Convocation Center.  Doors will open on Friday at 4 p.m. and on Saturday at 5 p.m.  Mary Hardin-Baylor, Washington in St. Louis and Transylvania's allotment will be available at the door until tip-off of their respective games.
