(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – Thomas More University women's basketball team has moved up to No. 2 in the nation in both the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) NCAA Division III Top 25 Coaches' Poll and the D3hoops.com Top-25.
Thomas More is 13-0 on the season with double-digit wins over then No. 17 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, No. 5 University of Chicago, No. 19 Baldwin Wallace University and No. 2 Hope College all away from the friendly confines of the Connor Convocation Center. The Saints lead Division III in final points (1,135), field goal percentage (53.1) and assists (242). Thomas More is third in scoring offense (87.3), fourth in scoring margin (+31.4), fifth in three-point field goal percentage (41.1) and steals (170), eighth in free-throws made (178) and 10th in rebounds (501).
Senior guard Madison Temple (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) lead the nation in final points (303), triple doubles (one), steals (48) and field goals made (106). She is also second in free-throws made (74) and assists (77), fourth in points per game (23.3), ninth in free-throw attempts (84) and 10th in field goal percentage (60.2). Junior guard Kaela Saner (Florence, Ky./Boone County) is fifth in Division III in three-point field goal percentage (53.1) and ninth in three-point field goals made (34).
Saints return to the hardwood on December 19 and 20 when they compete at The Exclusive Tournament in Miami, Florida as they play Wesleyan University on the 19th and California Lutheran University on the 20th.
