Men's Tennis Falls 8-1 to Cumberlands on Final Home Game of the Season

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More University men's tennis team fell, 8-1, tonight (Friday, March 1, 2019) to NAIA University of Cumberlands indoors at the Five Seasons Sports Club in Crestview Hills, Kentucky in the final home game of the season.  The Saints move to 4-6 on the season with the loss. 

  • Derrick Kwok fell 6-1, 6-2 in his singles match at the one position. 
  • Ethan Caruso picked up the Saints lone victory in the match, defeating his opponent 7-6, 5-2.
  • Jeffrey Schenk took his opponent to three sets, falling 3-6, 6-2, 0-1.
  • Jaret Fidler fell to his singles opponent 6-4, 6-3.
  • Josh Huster fell to his singles opponent 6-2, 6-0 at the five position.
  • Chris Barnachea fell 6-2, 6-3 in the six position.

  • Thomas More takes on Earlham and Ohio Wesleyan on Mar. 2 to begin a nine game road stand to close out the season.
