Men's Swim/Dive Goes 1-1; Women 0-2 on the Day

(WILMORE, Ky.) - The Thomas More men's and women's swim and dive team took on Asbury and Bethel Friday, Oct. 19, 2018. The men's side went 1-1 defeating Bethel 73-65, but falling to Asbury 122-48. On the women's side of events, the Saints dropped to both teams, 140-44 against Asbury and 91-64 against Bethel. 

  • The men's team earned its first-ever victory with the win over Bethel. 

  • Justin Hailey led the men on Friday night against Bethel in the 4x100 Medley Relay, 50 Free (:22.49) and 100 Fly (:55.06). 

  • Hailey also won the 50 Freestyle against Asbury. 

  • Austin Smith won the 200 Freestyle (1:55.59) against Bethel.

  • Smith also won the 100 Freestyle (:51.15) against both Bethel and Asbury. 

  • Luke Stuart finished first in the 100 Backstroke (:59.52) against Bethel.

  • Shelby Miller came out on top in the 1000 Freestyle (11:26.58) against Bethel and Asbury.

  • S. Miller also placed first in the 100 Backstroke (1:06.25) against Bethel.

  • Ali Miller was victorious in the 200 IM (2:34.60) against Bethel. 

  • Megan Hill finished first in the 500 Free (6:33.39) against Bethel. 

  • The Saints compete against Bethel and Centre tomorrow, Saturday Oct. 20, 2018.
